Reservations: Reservations cannot be confirmed until a deposit has been secured by Janet Smith Tours Ltd

Transfers: Transfers have been included in some destinations or offered as an option. We have not included them where it is more convenient to take a taxi.

Airport Taxes: These are to be paid locally on departure in currency of the country you are visiting.

Currency Adjustments: Most of our accommodation is purchased in local currency – if there is any variance in the value of the pound against these currencies these may be passed onto the customer at the company’s discretion.

Conditions of Booking

Making a booking:
Your booking will not be confirmed and there will be no contract between yourself and Janet Smith Tours Ltd (thereafter called the company) until the correct deposit of £50 per person is paid to the company, plus cancellation waiver if require Making a booking: your booking will not be confirmed and there will be no contract between yourself and Janet Smith Tours Ltd (thereafter called the company)until the correct deposit of £50 per person is paid to the company, plus cancellation waiver if required. Quotations and information made by the company are done in good faith and based on prices, exchange rates, schedules and advance information at that time known. The company reserves the right to change without notice with regards to devaluation, changes in government taxes or other circumstances which may arise. The customer is responsible to check that all travel documents are correct and in accordance with accommodation booked, the company does not accept liability for any inconvenience caused should customers travel with incorrect documents.

Cancellation Waiver:
Please ask at the time of your enquiry as certain products cannot be covered and charges are controlled by the resort supplier

For a prepaid non-refundable fee of I6 per person the company agrees to waive the following charges.

l. Cancellation charges up to the last minute due to restrictions related to staff travel which are not covered by your normal travel insurance and outside the customers control (excludes cancellation if customers are still travelling within ten days of original dates unless rebooking accommodation through ourselves). We do require you to inform ourselves and the hotel outside of office hours (please take note of who you cancel with at the hotel) to activate the policy.

2. Amendment charges in relation to changes in your dates, hotel or destination even on the day of travel.

3. Short stay-entitles you to be refunded the unused portion of your holiday accommodation – written confirmation of stay from the hotel should accompany your request.

4. lncidents of Force Majeure will not be covered (see below). Charges under these circumstances will be limited to those incurred by the company.

5. The waiver covers complete cancellation however if only one or more of the party cancel this will be viewed as an amendment and a single supplement would be applied.

6. Clients must inform Janet Smith Tours during office hours or contact the hotel directly out of hours with the persons name as a reference to ensure a refund.

Cancellation Charges :-
The following charges will be made if cover is not opted
More than 29 days……………deposit only
28-4days………..£50 or 20% of holiday cost (whichever is greater)
3-1 days……………80% of the holiday cost
Day of departure…………..100% of holiday cost
Force Majeure – cancellation charges will be restricted to the recharge of direct costs incurred.

Note :-
A booking with or without the cancellation waiver is not deemed cancelled until Janet Smith Tours has received the cancellation in writing.

General :-
lf the company has to cancel your accommodation due to circumstances beyond its control, such as overbooking by hotels and including force majeure events it shall notify you as possible.The company shall if possible offer alternative accommodation arrangements of a comparable standard and cost or a refund of all monies paid to you in respect of the arrangements shown on the companys confirmation account but will have no further liability whatsoever to you. ln the event of cancellation (other than due to Force Majeure )within 28-14 days £20 per person 3-0 days £50 per person compensation would apply.The company does not operate or control the management of its hotel and accommodation nor any locally operated tour from any destination. lt is possible that some of the facilities referred to in the brochure etc. may be unavailable in the holiday accommodation that is booked during some or all of the stay and the company can accept no liability should a facility not be available during your stay.

The company cannot accept responsibility for any information not contained in this brochure being confirmed verbally by its staff. Should you need any specific requirements ie: wheelchair access please ensure that these have been specified on your accommdation voucher. The company and its servants shall not be liable for any loss or damage to luggage or any other property or for any loss, inconvenlence/fatal or other injury or illness. lt is advised that customers travelling do take out adequate insurance cover and that you do not travel without travel insurance cover. Our accommodation is discounted for travel indsutry personnel entitled to concessionary travel (including their families where possible). ln the event of accommodation being booked by persons of which no member of the party qualifies for concessary travel.

The company reserves the right to impose a surcharge to cover any additional costs imposed to non travel industry personnel.

Choice of accommodation :-
The standard of our accommodation varies from basic to luxury (which is refiected in the price) in order to cater for customers merely using up holiday entitlement (the cost of an air ticket to the caribbean can sometimes work out cheaper to airline staff than petrol to a UK destination) or those planning a once in a lifetime trip. Please be selective in weighing up cost against comfort facilities.

Dissatisfaction :-
Should you find our accommodation products not to your satisfaction please refer to the local management to try to remedy any problems. lf you are still dissatisfied you are free to curtail your stay being obliged to us only to pay for the accommodation used allowing you to seek alternative accommodation that meets with your requirements.For refunds of unused accommodation please ensure you receive documentry evidence from the hotel etc.of your shortend stay in the event you wish to lodge a complaint we do require that these are received within 28days of the termination of your stay. We will not accept any complaints or claims outside of this time limit.

Transfers :-
ln the event that of non-arrival transfers the cost paid by the customer for transfers only will be refunded or nil when complimentry by the hotel.

Booking Amendments :-
Should you wish to alter your accommodation arrangements in any way this will be subject to a amendment fee of £25 per booking.

Before Travel :-
please ensure that you comply with passport,visa and health regulations of the country to which you are travelling the company accepts no liability in the event of refused entry.

Short stays :-
Claims for short stays should be accompanied by hotel document confirming dates whenever possible to save delays in obtaining independent collaboration from the hotel concerned. These will be classified as amendments and subject to an amendment charge except when cancellation waiver is held.
